Treaty 2 – Boozhoo. The Regional Office Nation Helpers, Dakota Marsden, and Diane Sinclair along with our Governance Keeper, Merv Sinclair will be continuing the work to draft the Election and Membership Laws for our local Nations that are a part of Anishinaabe Agowidiiwinan in Treaty 2 Territory.

There is a lot of work, research, and engagement that needs to take place. The laws are important as we make our way to becoming Sovereign Nations, no longer controlled by the Indian Act.  

Engagements with the local Nations is priority, but so is the safety of our staff and local Nation members. Sessions will happen virtually until in-person sessions can resume. It is important for members of the local Nations to engage and voice their views/practices. We look forward to continuing the work for our future generations.
